What is SCRIP?
SCRIP is a gift certificate. We have paper gift certificates for some stores and debit cards for others. Both are accepted at stores like cash.
How does SCRIP help St. Cyprian?
We purchase SCRIP from popular retailers at a discount, usually between 2% to 15% off the face value. We then sell the SCRIP to you at face value. YOU DO NOT PAY OUT ANY EXTRA. The difference in price is our profit.

How do debit cards work?
They look like a credit card with the magnetic strip on the back. Encoded into the magnetic strip is the value of the card. When you go to the store the card will be swiped. The amount you are purchasing will automatically be deducted from your card. The difference will be what is left on the card for you to use the next time.
Can I get change for my gift certificate?
Stores vary regarding how much change they are willing to give you back from your purchases. Some stores will give full change. Some will limit the amount of change back to $5 or less. Some stores use 20% as a guideline, and some stores will give SCRIP as change.
How do I purchase SCRIP?
--School parents can fill out an order form and send the order form and a check (payable to St. Cyprian SCRIP) to class with their student in the morning. Please make sure to check off how you want the SCRIP returned to you on the bottom of the form and include a daytime phone number in case we have any questions. The order will be filled and returned to the student the same day.
--SCRIP is sold before and after Masses on Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
--SCRIP is also sold at the rectory Monday – Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
