Spirituality

Spiritual growth is developed through our religious education programs and a school environment characterized by signs, symbols, manners and customs of faith.
Students practice and celebrate their spiritually by:
  • Daily prayer.
  • Instruction.
  • School liturgies.
  • Paraliturgical services.
  • Observance of holy days of obligation and other devotions.
  • The sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation are prepared for and received at appropriate grade levels.

Additionally, students learn and participate in various ways throughout the year:

  • Every Wednesday, the student body gathers in the Church for a prayer service and announcements. Anyone celebrating a birthday in the coming week is honored at this assembly.
  • The Family Life segment in each grade is geared to the age of the student.
  • Prayer leaders begin each day of class.
  • Each grade plans a Mass on a First Friday and a Family Mass Sunday. The students prepare the liturgy and are the readers at their chosen Mass.
  • We reenact the Passion of Jesus on Holy Thursday as part of the Triumph of the Cross.
  • Family Retreat in March - This is a catechetical event through the Parish
  • Children's Christmas Eve Pageant
